Located at the corner of Silver Star and Kilcullen Castle Gate in Scarborough, this one storey building is
on a 2.7-acre lot with a north south orientation. The project must comply with the City of Toronto Green
standards which cover environmental control standards. This includes bird friendly glazing, the planting
of trees and an exterior amenity space, and bicycle stands. Vehicular access is from both streets and
pedestrian access is off the city sidewalk to the front and rear of the building.
The development targets the automobile repair industry. The building has up to 22 units each of 1,720 SF and 2 of 3,120 SF at the rear of the building. Due to the width of the building, front and rear access is not possible unless back-to-back units are used. This result in a 3,440 SF or a 6,240 SF unit. There are 130 parking spaces including 65 electric vehicle charging stations.
The units are sold or leased as empty spaces for future users to set up their own equipment and have the possibility of a small mezzanine. Each unit has its own roof top heating and ventilation system and electrical supply. The building is fully sprinklered. The construction consists of a steel frame with a clear height of 25 feet enclosed with coloured insulated precast sandwich panels. All the overhead doors are 13’-9” high. Glazing is added along the Silver Star
to enhance the façade. As a street front, and to give the structure individuality, the south facing façade is a glass and coloured aluminum panel wall behind a well landscaped frontage.
Fill out the form and let's discuss how we can work together.
